HOW IT’S DIFFERENT

Older dogs tend to be a little less active so our meals with Premium SENIOR Bredwell Bits are designed to deliver fewer calories than ADULT or ACTIVE to avoid the risk of becoming overweight.

Compared to our Premium ADULT Bredwell Bits, our SENIOR Bits have more fiber (to help assure good intestinal function), less protein (to reduce metabolic stress), more Glucosamine and Chondroitin (to help support healthy joints), and a higher relative level of omega-3 fatty acids (which helps to minimize inflammatory issues).

INGREDIENTS 

Like our ADULT Bits, our Premium SENIOR Bredwell Bits use Chicken Meal as their number one ingredient and primary protein source. 

Also like our ADULT Bits, our SENIOR Bits use a blend of healthy whole grains (Oats, Barley and Rice) but add Alfalfa as a source of extra fiber to support digestive health in older dogs.

We continue to use Chicken Fat as a source of taste, calories, and essential fatty acids, but at a lower level than in our ADULT Bits. As far as fatty acids go, our SENIOR Bits have a higher percentage of omega-3 fatty acids to help support a healthy inflammatory response in older dogs.

To make sure your dog stays healthy and active, our Premium SENIOR Bredwell Bits include Taurine (important for heart function), Glucosamine and Chondroitin (to help support healthy joints), and supplements for all the essential micro-minerals and vitamins needed by your dog.
